I wanted to share a recipe for a body scrub that can be made cheaply at home. This homemade body scrub great for exfoliating and moisturizing the skin in the shower. What is great is that you know exactly what ingredients are in your scrub. Mostly if not all the ingredients can be purchased at your local dollar store.
Here is what you need:
One cup of Epson salt
One cup of Himalayan salt
One cup of sugar
3/4 to a cup of your favorite oil, I used a blend of sunflower oil and grapeseed oil. Feel to use an oil that works for your skin. You can use coconut oil, avocado oil, olive oil, etc.
A spoon for mixing
One container with a lid to hold your ingredients. You can adjust the ingredients to whatever container you have available. Instead of using one cup, you can use 1/2 cup, 3/4 cup or 1/4 cup, and so on.
Pour in the Epson salt, Himalayan salt, and sugar into your container and mix with your spoon until they are well incorporated. Take your oil of choice and start pouring the oil gradually and mixing it with your spoon until you are happy with the consistency. I like for my body scrub to have the consistency of a slushie. If you are looking applesauce just mix in gradually more oil till you get the consistency your looking.
I hope you enjoy this recipe let me know what you think if you try it. Ciao!
